Great Wolf Lodge

Peder and Mark went to Great Wolf Lodge with Peder's Adventure Guides group. How fun to go swimming in February! To think it was 2 weeks ago when it snowed!

The Snow Fort

I know I'm overloading on the snow pictures, but this is a record for Dallas, Texas! I read that this is an all-time 24-hour snowfall record for Dallas-Fort Worth (broken at 4:00 am this morning, in case anyone is interested). The National Weather Service says the previous record was 12.1 inches set in 1962.

Last night I actually went to the YMCA to exercise. I went partly to use the gym since I thought there would be few people there (there weren't). The other reason was to see the snow. I forget how peaceful and calm it is when it snows. Last night it was so bright too. I suppose because the snow reflects light. Anyway, it brought back memories of being a kid in Chicago.

After School....Time to Play

I went to Peder's school Valentine's party and then picked up Caroline. Mark was home early from work. I asked him to get out the boots and gloves, 'cause we were gonna PLAY!

Outside a school in our neighborhood.

Caroline stayed on the driveway for the longest time before venturing into the snow in the yard. I got a lot of pictures of our dirty cars.

I asked Caroline if she wanted to go inside. She said "Nope." Notice that they are both wearing rain boots. She's also wearing several layers underneath her yellow rain jacket. She refused to wear a hat.

Daddy helped with the snowman. The snowman ended up very tall and fell soon after we finished.

Let It Snow!

We had a lot of excitement today before school! It started snowing early Thursday morning and there was a blanket of the white stuff when we woke up. Peder and Caroline took a minute to touch it before heading to school and sitter. Caroline was upset when I left with her because she thought that Peder was staying to play more in the snow. I reassured her that Daddy was taking Peder to school and we could play in the snow after school.
