Peder's First Communion

We celebrated Peder's first communion today. He's growing up! Seems like only yesterday that he was baptized. Doesn't he look cute in his first suit?

Snow AGAIN!?!?

I can't believe it, but there is snow again here in Dallas. Not only that, but yesterday was the 1st day of spring (and Caroline's birthday!). We made it to church though. Do we get extra points for going to church in the snow?

Cooper's BBQ

Seventeen years ago, when Mark and I were dating and living in Austin, he took me to all of his favorite BBQ places in and around the Austin area. He even wrote down my comments of the food in his BBQ review binder (I know, cute/weird). We don't eat BBQ much anymore, but we have revisited Cooper's BBQ in Llano, TX several times over the past few years. It's gotten awfully expensive and Mark thinks it's lost some of it's original charm. But I'm sure we'll be back sometime.

Choose your meat. There's lots of it.When the meat runs out, they close.

Plates are never seen at any respectable old BBQ establishment.

Maybe I should hang up a sign like this at our house. I might get rich.

Nature Walk

It's always fun to take a nature walk at Grandma and Grandpa's house. The picture below doesn't do the place justice.

Typical picture of Grandma dealing with kids and making sure all is well.

Typical picture of Grandpa and Mark pulling up the rear and not worrying about the kids (at all).

Sleeping Bag

Caroline got a new sleeping bag for her birthday. She had to get one since her older brother has one too and she's too big for a pack n play. She loves that it's pink and girly. She has her FAVORITE blue blankie under her chin. "Where is Blue Blankie?" is always a scary question.

Caroline turns 3!

We drove to Georgetown to visit my parents during Spring Break. While we were there, we celebrated Caroline's birthday. Grandma made a special clown cake for Caroline. It's the same kind of cake she made for me on my 2nd birthday. I think Caroline liked it as she couldn't wait to get her fingers in the cake! My brother and Mark's brother stopped by too, since they both live nearby.

My cake circa 1973!

I love this picture of Caroline. It is HER.

Big Baby looks scared. Well, she always looks that way.
