Big Baby's Birthday
Apparently today was Big Baby's birthday. So Caroline made a birthday cake out of crushed crackers and cereal and put it on top of a box with a fake candle in it. Then we all had to sing "Happy Birthday" to Big Baby. Caroline was pleased.

Ripsticking and scootering
I took the kids out of the house while we got new windows installed. Peder is really skilled with his "ripstick" abilities. Caroline loves scooting around on her scooter. Even Murray went with us.
One of the games Caroline wanted to play was "the running game". She said "Mommy, let's play running, and you stay there!" Now that's the kind of game I like to play!

UT vs. Baylor Game
Mark took Peder and a friend from school to the UT game in Waco today. Even though the weather didn't cooperate, they still had a lot of fun. Peder even got to say hi to Bevo.

More Children's Chorus pictures
Here's the group shot minus Mark and Caroline. He had to leave with her halfway through the performance. They ended up eating dinner out so it was all good for them. Our dear friend, Nina, attended, as well as my parents and Larry & Diane, Peder's godparents (and fellow singers/musicians).
The group shots are hard to see, but my mother labeled Peder in each group. (Thanks, Mom!)
The last picture is of Peder with his choir teacher, Cynthia Nott (she is FABULOUS), and Larry (who happens to know Cynthia).

Japanese Kimonos
Mark's sister and her husband went to Japan recently and they sent the kids real kimonos. The kids loved them but it ended in a sumo wrestling match. Not sure who won.

Children's Chorus of Greater Dallas Concert
Peder had his first performance with the Children's Chorus of Greater Dallas last night at the Meyerson! He did great! We were so proud of him. After the concert, he was "interviewed". Okay, it wasn't NBC, ABC, or CBS, but it was kind of exciting for him. He was really animated but I couldn't hear what he was saying. Maybe a clip will end up on the CCGD website.

Shenanigans
Peder and Caroline had Monday and Tuesday off this week (with Mark while I worked) so they filled their time with various activities, most of which involved messing up the house. They fashioned some boxes into a car. Clever.

Crafting in Gunter, TX with friends
Had SOOO much fun in the little town northwest of where I live in Dallas. The Sister's Hideaway is a beautiful retreat for scrappers, crafters, anyone. Meals are provided and are wonderful of course. I consider it wonderful when someone else makes it for me. I got a lot of projects started and some done. We watched videos all night long and now Modern Family is my new favorite sit com. Can't wait to come back for some stampin' and scrappin'!
